"... But when the true alchemist spoke of seeking for gold, he spoke of gold in the soul of man... And when the true astrologer spoke of consellations and planets he spoke of constellations and planets in the soul of man... And when the true Kabalist spoke of the Name of God, he sought this Name in the soul of man and in Nature, and not in dead books, nor in biblical texts..."
"We are surrounded by a wall built of our conceptions of the world, and are unable to look over this wall at the real world. The Kabala presents an effort to break this "enchanted circle". It investigates the world as it is, the world in itself."

"... one of the stumbling blocks in this process is learning to translate intuitive feelings into conscious words. In ritual use, the power of the word is learned, and also the power of holding true to the words we have given" from Paul Beyerl's Master Book of Herbalism.

I have been keeping track of my dreams in an effort to develop my abilities as a seer. Last night I got my first glimpse. I dreamt that one of my friends asked me the name of a mall, and when I woke up this morning I saw that I had gotten a text message in the middle of the night from one of my friends asking me the name of a mall.
Perfectly framed through the gap between my wall and window shade a perfect crescent moon, waning in scorpio was staring me down.

considering marriage
I hope to find a suitor soon, because I am in need of eating Martha's faux bois wedding cake! It really is a perfect combo. I love faux bois, I love cakes, and I love pretending to want a wedding.
Also, WTF, she has a whole section of her website devoted to "woodland cakes". What a total freak. I'm lovin it.
